The courtyard of Kim Mansion was glowing in shades of yellow and gold.
Marigold garlands hung from every pillar. Brass diyas flickered softly. The air smelled of haldi, sandalwood, and fresh flowers. Dhol beats echoed as both the Kim and Jeon families gathered together for the most awaited ceremony —

Yoonmin’s Haldi.

Two decorated seats were placed in the center, covered with yellow drapes.
Jimin entered first, wearing a simple mustard saree, hair braided with fresh gajra. She looked soft, glowing.
From the opposite side, Suga walked in wearing a plain white kurta — which everyone knew would not remain white for long.
Jhope whispered dramatically to IU—

Jhope-: Aaj haldi nahi… Holi hone wali hai.

IU giggled.

IU-: Main safe zone mein baithungi.

Hobi dadi clapped loudly.

Hobi dadi-: Chalo chalo shuru karo! Par shanti se!

Everyone nodded innocently.

Five seconds later— Chaos began.

First haldi was applied traditionally.
Jin lovingly applied haldi on Jimin’s cheeks.

Jin-: Khush raho. Hamesha aisehi haste raho.

On the other side, Jeon family elders applied haldi on Suga.

Tae (giggles):didi.... Yeh kya..... You're already looking like a sunflower.....jiju is lucky to have cute sa chlta firta sunflower...

Suga (calmly, teasing): exactly.... But guys I'm warning you all koi mujhe iske tarah sunflower nhi bnayega..... Vrna fir dekhlena.....

Taekook-: (teasing) dekhlenge.... Vaise bhi aapdono ko roz hi dekhte hai.... Aaj sunflower bnane ke baad dekhenge.....

Suga-: mai maar dunga dono ko.... Agr mujhe sunflower bnaya toh.....

Jungkook-: theek hai bhaiya.... Aapko sunflower nhi bnayenge..... Seedha sun hi bna denge....

Tae-: yeh sahi hai.... Jiju sun....didi sunflower..... Fir dono sath mei photosynthesis krte rhna.... [ laughing]

Hearing taekook.... Everyone burst out laughing......

Then tae came to playfuy apply haldi on jimin's face.....

Jimin-:[whispered playfully] kookie ko dekho..... Jbse tum aayi ho.... Uss ldke ne ek baar bhi tumpr se nazar nhi hatayi hai..... Nazar hatana chhodo.... Palak tk nhi jhapakayi hai..... Bhai he's highly obsessed with you baby..... Toh thoda usse bch kr rhna.... Jis tarah se kookie tumko aaj dekh rha hai.... Uski niyat mujhe theek lg nhi rhi hai....(giggles)

Tae (choking, eyes widening):W-what?! di.... Aap bhi na..... [Blushing]

(Suga coughs, hiding a laugh, while Suga smirks knowingly.)

Suga (sarcastically): oye.... Babu ke shona.... Aaj toh atleast hmlog pr focus krlo.... I know meri sali cum behan bhut sunder lg rhi hai..... Aur hmei pta hai tae sirf tumhari hai.... But don't forget..... Tumdono ne apna relationship secret rkha hua hai abtk.... Aur jiss tarah se tu meri behan ko dekh rha hai..... You're making it obvious.... So control your emotions bro....

Jungkook (glaring lightly): kya Bhaiya.... Aap bhi.....

Suga (smiling): what kuch bhi..... Tere facial expressions are really expressive you know na..... Aise mt dekh.... Dono ke parents ko saaf pta chl jayega tum dono ke secret relationship ke baare mei.... Vaise bhi hmare wedding mei dono atleast hm pr focus krlo..... Baad mei niharte rhna ek dusre ko.....

Tae blushes hard, ducking her face behind her dupatta. kookie smirks, leaning near her ear when no one's watching.

Jungkook (softly, husky): baby you're looking like my delicious full course meal today..... I'm dying to eat you baby.....

Tae ( shy blushing whispering back): shut up.... Behave.... Koi sunn lega....

Jungkook (smirking possessively): jisko sunna hai sunne do.... I don't care.... You're mine.... Only mine baby.....

(Tae's breath catches; she quickly moves away, blushing furiously. Yoonmin exchange secret smiles, knowing exactly what's happening.)

Mrs kim (happy but emotional while applying haldi): My baby.... Looking beautiful.....

Jimin (pouting):Mumma bas karo na... I'm looking like a mango shake....

Tae-: [teasing] na..... Na.... Mango shake nhi.... Puri Pokemon lgrhi hai.....

Jungkook-: [ exactly] you both are looking like goldduck and picckachu......

Jimin-: (pouting)dad dekho na.... Dono mera mzaak uda rhe hai.....

Taekook-: mzaak nhi uda rhe hai.... Schchai bta rhe hai.....(giggles)

(Everyone bursts into laughter.)

Meanwhile, kookie was quietly stealing glances at Tae, who was sitting beside the flower swing, holding a bowl of haldi.

Meanwhile Jhope quietly sneaked behind Suga and applied haldi on his neck.

Suga-: (turned) jhope....

Jhope grinned.

Jhope-: bura na maano haldi hai....

Within seconds, Suga grabbed haldi and attacked him back.

Now it officially turned into Haldi Holi.

IU tried escaping but Tae pulled her in.

IU-: No no no! I have shoot tomorrow!

Too late.

Yellow handprint on her cheek.

IU-: Tae!

Jungkook laughed so hard he bent over.

In the middle of all this chaos—

Jimin was laughing uncontrollably.

Suga noticed how beautiful she looked even with haldi smudged across her face.

He walked toward her slowly.

Jimin narrowed her eyes.

Jimin-: Aise kyun dekh rahe ho?

Suga dipped his fingers gently in haldi.
This time softly.
He applied it on her cheeks carefully.

Suga-: Bas… thoda aur glow chahiye tha.

She tried to look serious.

Jimin-: dramebaaz....

Suddenly she grabbed a full handful and smashed it on his face.

Jimin-: Now perfect.

Everyone screamed “OHHHHHH!”

Suga stood still for a second.

Then wiped haldi from his face and gently smeared some on her nose.

Suga-: Tumhari himmat kaafi badh gayi hai.

Jimin leaned closer.

Jimin-: Abhi aapne meri himmat dekhi  kaha hai....

He almost choked.

As the official haldi ended, Jimin's friends started throwing haldi water on each other. The courtyard turned into a mini-war zone.

Jungkook (grinning devilishly):
Jiminsche..... bucket time!.... Ab mzaa aayega na biddu.....

Suga-: no.... Kookiaah....

He grabbed a bucket full of haldi water and ran toward suga - but he dodged, and it splashed all over Tae instead.

Tae (screaming): kookie.... No....

Jungkook (pretending innocence):Arre sorry love- I mean, Tae....

Suga (snickering):Control your reflexes, Romeo....

Jimin (laughing uncontrollably):
Karma kookie! Ab teri girlfriend haldi ki statue ban gayi.

Tae took a bowl of haldi paste and smeared it straight across kookie's face.

Tae (grinning): ab hua husaab barabar.... Ab tumko bhi mai pickachu bnaungi....

Jungkook (softly, close to her):
Tumhare haath se  toh har cheez pyaari lagti hai.....I'm loving it baby....

(Tae's heartbeat skips. She looks away quickly while Suga throws petals on them to break the tension.)

Suga (mock dramatic):oye.... Babu shona.... Control your emotions guys...., yahan shaadi Yoonmin ki hai, romance Taekook ka chal raha hai!

Listening this everyone started laughing....

Soon the courtyard turned into complete yellow madness. Jhope dancing with dhol...
IU laughing while trying to save her hair.
Taekook running around throwing haldi like kids. Jin scolding but secretly smiling.

Hobi dadi shaking her head—

Hobi dadi-: “Maine bola tha shanti se…”

But even she couldn’t stop smiling.

But when I see random people looking/staring at you at that moment I feel like.... I should hide you in my arms.... So no evil eyes can stare at you.... You're mine baby..... Only mine....

Tae (blushing, whispering): shut up.... You're impossible....

Jungkook (smiling, brushing her cheek lightly with haldi on his thumb): hehe..... And you love this..... Don't you.....my baby...

(Their eyes lock - golden haldi, golden light, golden love. Background music plays "Ranjha - Shershaah".)

Back at the center—

Yoonmin were now fully covered in haldi.
Jimin tried to stand but Suga held her wrist.

Suga-: Kahan ja rahi ho?

Jimin-: khud ko saaf krne....

Suga pulled her closer.

Suga-: aise kaise Abhi toh shuru hua hai.

She tried to push him.....

He leaned in and whispered—

Suga-: vaise you're looking beautiful.... Bs ldko se baat mt kro....

Jimin smirked.

Jimin-: you're jealous.... Again....??

He pretended to be offended.

Suga-: Main jealous nahi hota.

From behind, Eunwo shouted—

Eunwo-: Haan haan bilkul nahi!

Everyone laughed.

At end of the day.... Everyone was tired....

Yoonmin sat side by side. Hands intertwined secretly. Jimin leaned her head on his shoulder softly. Suga looked around at both families laughing together.

For the first time—
It wasn’t just a wedding ritual.
It was two families becoming one.
Tae and Jungkook sat opposite them, fingers secretly linked behind their backs.

Jungkook whispered—

Jungkook-: Someday…

Tae smiled softly.

Tae-: Someday.

Dhol beats slowed. Sunlight softened.
And in the middle of laughter, haldi, teasing, and stolen glances—
Love felt loud, Warm......
And beautifully chaotic.
