At kim mansion
The Kim mansion was unusually noisy for a weekday morning.
“MUMMAAA… jaldi aao!”
“MAASIIIII… meri bottle kahan hai!”
Kookie stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her crisp ivory saree with a navy-blue border—the official HOD attire. Her ID card lay on the dresser:
Dr. Kim Kookie
Head of Department – Sociology
Space Academy
She exhaled slowly.
“First day…as HOD… I have to stay calm,” she muttered.
Behind her, Tae appeared, already dressed in a sharp professor’s suit, coffee mug in hand, eyes soft and proud.
“You look dangerous,” he said calmly.
She blinked, “Dangerous?”
“Haan...,” he nodded.“dangerously mine”
She laughed nervously.
“Tete… agar koi galti ho gayi toh—”
He stepped closer, adjusted her pallu with practiced intimacy, and whispered:
“toh kuchh nhi.... Hum hai na... Hum sb sambhal lenge.”
She rolled her eyes,“hehe.... Dramaking.”
In the living room—
Baby Taekook (now a confident toddler) stood with his tiny backpack, chest puffed out, announcing to absolutely no one in particular:
“MERI MUMMA… HOD HAI.”
Yoonmin, sitting beside him, immediately stood up like it was a competition.
“MERI MAUSI… YOUNGEST SCIENTIST HAI.”
She folded her tiny arms smugly.
Baby Taekook frowned.
“MERI MUMMA—”
“MERI MAUSI—”
“MERI—”
“MERI—”
“STOP,” Jin said, clapping once.
"Ab breakfast karo.”
Kookie, overhearing this while coming downstairs, froze for a second… then burst out laughing, “yeh dono mere liye kaise ladd rhe hai,” she giggled.
Tae smirked.
“yeh toh tumhare liye roz ladte hai.....”
At space academy
The Sociology Department had never been this loud at 8:30 a.m.
Not because of students.Because of whispers...
“Sun na… aaj new HOD aa rahi hai.”
“Kya matlab aa rahi hai?”
“Bhai… youngest HOD in the history of this university.”
“Age kitni hai?”
“Bas mat puch.”
By the time Kookie entered the Sociology block, the air had changed.
Whispers followed her footsteps.
“Yahi hai?”
“She’s so young?”
“Wait… she’s the HOD??”
“Doctorate before time… youngest social scientist…”
A group of students stood near the notice board where her appointment letter was displayed.
One student whispered loudly:
“Bro… she’s younger than all the professors & half of the students.”
Another replied:
“Age nahi… aura dekho.”
Then—
a senior student leaned in and said in a low, urgent voice:
“Bhai… uski taraf dekhna bhi mat.”
“Ky—kyu?”
“Unke husband… Professor Kim Taehyung.”
Everyone collectively gulped, “OH.”
Silence.Then chaos.
“WAIT— THAT TAEHYUNG SIR??”
“Haan wahi jo viva mein aankhon se maar deta hai.”
A third student panicked.
“Toh matlab—”
A final warning was delivered like a campus rule:
“Bhai uski taraf dekhna bhi mat.”
Everyone nodded like it was a life-saving instruction.
Tae stood outside his cabin, flipping through a file, glasses perched on his nose — calm, composed, intimidating without even trying.
A male student (Kookie’s batchmate and Tae’s student) walked toward him nervously, adjusting his bag strap.
“G–good morning, sir,” he greeted politely.
Tae looked up, expression neutral.
“Good morning.”
The student swallowed, hesitated for a second… then blurted out—
“Sir… apni… mrs hai…??”
Tae’s pen stopped mid-air.Slowly… very slowly… he lifted his head. Silence.
Then, in a dangerously calm voice—
“Apni nahi,” he said,“Meri mrs hai woh.”
The student blinked.
Before he could react, Tae continued, eyes narrowing just a little—
“Hamara joint account nahi hai.”
“Sirf meri hai woh.”
A deadly stare followed.
The student’s soul visibly left his body.
“S–sir mera matlab woh nahi tha—”
Tae cut him off instantly.
“Tumhara matlab kya hai, woh main sab samajh raha hoon.”
He took one step closer.
“Woh abhi yahan nahi hai.”
“Kya kaam hai — seedha bolo.”
The student gulped.
“Sir… please… bas itna bata dijiyega ki main aaya tha… aur unko dhoondh raha tha…”
Tae raised one eyebrow slowly.
“Main hi kahun?”
The student nodded frantically.
“Please sir… bhooliyega mat…”
Tae gave him a calm smile — the kind that made people rethink their life choices.
“Yeh toh,” he said softly,
“main marte dum tak bhi nahi bhool sakta.”
The student froze.
“…thank you sir,” he whispered, backing away like his life depended on it.
As the boy disappeared down the corridor, Taehyung adjusted his glasses and muttered under his breath—" Jb dekho sbko meri hi biwi se milna hai"
Inside the cabin, the file lay forgotten. Because somewhere in the building…his wife was about to walk in.
Some time later...
The seminar hall fell dead silent when she walked in.
Not because she demanded it.But because confidence did.Kookie stepped onto the dais, calm, composed, eyes steady.
Students stared.
“She looks… younger than us?”
“Bro she looks like she belongs in the last bench with us.”
She adjusted the mic.
“Good morning,” she said clearly.
A collective:
“Good morning, ma’am.”
She smiled slightly.
“I know most of you are surprised,” she said, voice steady.
“So was I… when I realised half of you think I’m your senior.”
Soft laughter.Ice broken.
“I don’t believe in hierarchy through fear,” she continued.
she continued.
“But discipline through respect — yes.”
Tae stood at the back, arms crossed, jaw tight, eyes proud.
Bogum leaned toward IU and Lisa.
“Dekho dekho… pati dev ka expression,” Bogum whispered.
“Jaise khud hi Nobel jeet liya ho.”
IU grinned,“Pakka raat ko bolenge — meri wife HOD hai.”
Lisa smirked.
“Raat ko nahi… abhi bolenge.”
Kookie spoke professionally, confidently.
Tae raised a point.
She replied logically. No bias. no softness.
Pure academia. But under the table—Their feet touched. Just once.....Enough.
Later, in Tae’s cabin—
Kookie entered, tired but glowing.
He locked the door.
“Professional boundary?” she teased.
“Office hours ke baad nahi hoti,” he replied, pulling her gently into his arms.
She rested her forehead against his chest.
“finally i did it… my first day went so well.....”
“I knew,” he said softly.
“proud of you......”
She smiled, “Professor Kim… aap thoda bias nahi ho rahe ho?”
“voh toh hmesha hi bias rhta hai,” he agreed instantly, “Full-time.”
IU, Lisa, and Bogam cornered Taehyung in the cafeteria.
IU, “Sir… aaj aapka lecture miss ho gaya. Aapki Aankhein sirf HOD pe thi.”
Lisa, “Har baar jab woh bol rahi thi, aap aise dekh rahe the jaise—”
Bogam added, “jaise you were memorizing her.”
Tae sipped his coffee calmly.
“Jealous ho?”
All three together, “YES.”
Kim mansion
Back at home, Kookie collapsed on the sofa.
Yoonmin climbed into her lap.
“ MERI MAUSI HAI… .”
Baby Taekook hugged her leg.
“ MERI MUMMA HAI… .”
She laughed so hard she almost cried.
Tae watched them from the doorway, heart full.
Later that night, as she rested her head on his shoulder, she whispered:
“Thank you…in sabke liye.”
He kissed her forehead.
“This is just the beginning, Dr. Kim.”
Outside, the lights of Space Academy glowed softly.
Inside, a family stood strong—
bound by love, laughter, pride, and chaos.
And somewhere in the halls of the university, one rule was already legendary:
“Uski taraf dekhna bhi mat…
woh sirf HOD nahi…
Kim family ki queen hai.”
