At kim mansion
After weddings, celebrations, and chaos, life slowly slipped back into its familiar rhythm - the kind that felt ordinary from outside but meaningful from within.
Mornings in the Kim household once again began with alarm clocks, hurried breakfasts, half-finished cups of coffee, and soft arguments about who forgot their ID card.
The house woke up at 6:00 a.m. sharp.
The smell of fresh coffee filled the kitchen.
Nam and Suga left early every day, crisp shirts, laptops in hand.
"Shaam ko aane mei late ho jaunga," Nam said one morning while fixing his watch.
Suga nodded, already checking mails on his phone, "Meeting hai."
Jin watched them leave, smiling faintly. This routine - she had missed it more than she realized.
By 7:00 a.m., the house looked like a railway station.
Hobi's mornings were the fastest. Scrubs, stethoscope, and barely enough time to finish breakfast.
"Emergency..... I have to rush," he said, kissing Lisa's forehead quickly.
Lisa laughed.
"Doctor sahab, lunch toh le jao."
"Canteen mei krlunga.... "Hobi replied while picking up his stuffs
Meanwhile at space academy
Tae and Jimin resumed as professors, walking through familiar corridors with coffee mugs and lecture notes.
Lisa, IU, and Kookie - PhD research scholars - walked into campus with bags heavier than before, minds fuller, hearts strangely content.Life wasn't loud anymore. It was balanced.
Kookie's days were now divided between reading papers, attending seminars, conducting field interviews, and endlessly typing on her laptop.
Her research topic sat boldly at the top of every document:
"Changing Pattern of Education System: From Traditional Classroom to Modern Digital Education and AI - A Sociological Perspective."
She loved it.But it also exhausted her.
One afternoon, she sat in the tae's cabin, eyes fixed on her screen, fingers frozen above the keyboard.
She sighed," aayein.... Why is this section not making sense," she muttered.
A familiar voice came from behind.
"Because you're mixing functionalist perspective with critical theory."
She didn't even look up.
"You always say that."
Tae pulled a chair beside her and sat down, leaning closer to her screen.
She rolled her chair back.
"tete... mujhe samajh nahi aa raha theoretical framework ka angle."
"Explain karo."
She started talking passionately.
"Traditional education was teacher-centric... authority based... now AI is decentralizing knowledge... but socially...", She paused.
Tae listened intently, eyes focused, nodding.
"You're missing power dynamics," he said softly.
"Who controls algorithms? Who decides access?"
Her eyes lit up, "Oh-! That's it." She grabbed her pen and added the points which were told by tae.
"I'm tired, tete."
He smiled softly.
"am I not your sir here," he corrected.
"And hubby/ daddy, if that helps."
She rolled her eyes.
"hubby daddy ka pta nhi.... Bhaiya zroor bol skti ho aapko.... Jaise bachpan mei bolti thi.... Remember......"
"Acha.... Bhaiya bol kr toh dikhao.... Yhi shuru hojaunga...." His romantic voice darken and he pulled her chair towards him bringing her more close.....
"Haha.... Very funny....."
She rolled her eyes
He leaned in slightly, voice lower.
" kya hogya mere bchche ko.... aaj itni irritate kyu horhi ho.... Bolo...."
"Kuchh nhi.... Mera sarr dukh rha hai....."
"Toh fir coffee le aaun?"
Her irritation melted instantly.
"nhi.... Coffee nhi...."
"Fir....??" Tae frowned getting confused
She cutely pouted....
"Puchh toh aise rhe ho jaise aapko meri choice pta nhi hai.... "
Tae asked," fir.... Banana milk....??"
She immediately nodded her head in yes.... Like a cute happy baby....
Seeing this cute reaction tae's hearted melted within second.....
"Ok.... Abhi lata hoo....." Said while kissing her lips gently
Meanwhile Their supervisor-student relationship was surprisingly professional - at least in front of others.
Tae took his role seriously. He read every draft carefully, marked sections, suggested theories, questioned her methodology.
"You need more qualitative data here," he said once, pointing at her notes.
"Interviews & google form ke responses strong hain, use them properly.... measure the response with the help of likert scale...."
Kookie nodded, scribbling notes.
"Ok... aur yeh part?"
He paused.
"This is good," he said honestly,"
Tumhara perspective clear hai."
She looked up, hopeful, "Sach?"
He smiled.
"Haan. Proud of you."
That one line made the long hours worth it.
But the moment they were alone. Everything changed.
One evening, the campus was almost empty.
Kookie sat on a bench outside the sociology department, laptop closed, watching the sky change colors.
Tae came out after finishing a lecture.
"You didn't go home? Aaj toh tum bhabhi aur lisa ke sath jane waali thi na?? " he asked.
She shrugged.
"Wait kar rahi thi."
"For?"
She smiled.
" obviously You."
He sat beside her.
"Aur voh dono....??"
She leaned her head on his shoulder.
"Voh dono pehle hi ghr chli gyi.... Suga bhai aur hobi bhai aaye the lene....."
He smiled softly.
"Ohh... Toh yha kyu baithi ho....?? Mere cabin mei aajati....."
"Gyi thi.... Pr fir vha bhut se profs and students the..... Issiliye nhi gyi ander..."
"Toh....?? Aajati ander...."
"Jb Mai gyi thi toh aapka cabin locked tha"
"Toh bachcha khol leti na.... Keys toh hai na tumhari pass....."
"Haa hai.... Pr fir mai cabin open krke aapke absence mei ander baithti toh sb fir shaq krne lgte na.... "She replied cutely," fir koi puchta ki tum sir ke absence mei unke cabin mei kyu baithi ho fir mai kya bolti....?"
He cupped her face, "bol deti maine hi bola hai ander baithne keliye.... Agr koi problem hai toh jaakr baat krlo....."
She blushed
"Bunny you know na jo kuch bhi mera hai voh sb tumhara hai... So mera cabin jitna mera hai utna hi tumhara hai.... Toh tumko hmare cabin mei baithne keliye kisi ki bhi permission lene ki koi zaroort nhi hai..... Mere bhi nhi.... "
She nodded shyly
He slipped his fingers into hers, subtle, careful.
Campus romance wasn't about grand gestures - it was about shared silence, stolen glances, and holding hands just a little longer than necessary.
Kim mansion
Kookie sat on the bed, papers scattered.
"I can't do this."
Tae entered with two mugs of hot chocolate,"Yes, you can."
She leaned into him,"What if my argument isn't strong enough?"
He sat beside her, pulling her close.
"your perspective is unique," he said softly. "You're connecting AI with inequality, access, culture. That's strong."
She rested her head on his shoulder.
"Suniye," she said suddenly.
"AI-based education se related social inequality aspect pe aur literature milega kya?"
Tae leaned over, scanning her screen.
"Wait," he said, grabbing his tablet.
"There's a paper by Selwyn... I'll forward it."
She smiled.
"Meri thesis ke liye aap mujhse zyada research krrhe ho"
He looked at her.
"obviously.... Ab wife student hai aur husband hi advisor hai..... Toh meri responsibility and mehanat dono double hojati hai......" He kissed her lips gently," after all I have to make sure that meri wife ka research and thesis best ho and time se submit hojaye..."
She rested her head on his chest for a moment, "Thank you... sir."
He kissed her hair,"Anytime, babu."
One evening- tae's cabin
Kookie fell asleep in the tae's cabin on the study table.
Tae found her like that, glasses slipping, pen still in hand.He smiled gently.Picked her up carefully.
She murmured,"Data... AI... inequality..."
He laughed softly,"mera bachcha."
Laying her on the couch, he covered her with his long blazer.
She woke slightly, "Tete?"
"Hm?"
"aap hamesha mere saath rahoge na?"
"Always bunny...."
He kissed her lips.
She smiled and slept again.
