She softened, eyes glistening. Their faces were inches apart. The fort lights flickered as fireworks began outside — colors bursting through the night sky.

And then—

Nam’s voice (faint, approaching):Tae? kookie? Tum dono yahan ho?

Tae gasped, stepping back. kookie caught her wrist again, whispering—
