Her POV👇
The heavy mahogany door clicked shut behind me, and for the first time all day, silence wrapped around us like a living thing. No laughter, no music, no voices of relatives — just the low hum of the air conditioner and the pounding of my heart in my ears.
My feet hesitated on the Persian rug. The room looked like something out of an old royal palace — dim amber light spilling from the antique chandelier, casting shadows on the dark wooden walls. Red roses sprawled across the bed in delicate, deliberate patterns. The air smelled faintly of sandalwood and something darker… masculine.
His scent.
I swallowed hard, fingers gripping the edge of my bridal lehenga. My wrists still jingled with glass bangles, and the weight of my jewellery felt suddenly heavier.
I didn’t have to turn to know he was watching me. I could feel it — a slow, deliberate gaze trailing down my back like warm silk and cool steel at the same time.
This is it. The night everyone whispered about. The night that’s supposed to change everything.
But my palms were clammy, and my breathing uneven. What if… I disappointed him? What if I wasn’t what he expected?
The thought made my stomach twist. I’d seen him in college before… not as my professor, but as the intimidating man who entered the campus sometimes in sharp suits, all power and control..... When later I knew him I knew him as my besties elder brother..... And never thought I would be marrying my prof cum besties brother.... But see..... Destiny played and how I fell in love with such cold hesrted person whom I ones hated the most at starting..... now, he was my husband.
RAJVEER POV👇
She stood there like a frightened doe caught in the predator’s gaze. My wife. My beautiful, innocent, trembling wife.
God, she had no idea what she did to me.
Every inch of her — from the delicate curve of her neck to the way her fingers clutched her lehenga — called to something primal in me. She was mine now. Not just in name, not just by law, but in every sense that mattered.
And yet… she was afraid. I could see it in the stiffness of her shoulders, the way she refused to meet my eyes. I’d waited for this night, imagined it far too many times, but now… I would have to slow my hunger. I didn’t want her fear — I wanted her surrender.
Leaning against the carved bedpost, I let my voice cut through the silence — deep, low, and unhurried.
“Come here, Ishki.”
ISHKI
His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a weight that left no room for disobedience. My pulse stumbled. I turned slightly, my gaze catching his.
And just like that, my breath caught in my throat.
He was still in his wedding sherwani, but the top buttons were undone, exposing the strong line of his throat. His hair was slightly tousled, and the dim light made his sharp jaw look like it had been carved from shadows. But it was his eyes that undid me — dark, piercing, and… hungry.
“I—” My voice trembled. I hated that it did.
A corner of his mouth curved upward, a dangerous, knowing smirk. “I’m not going to bite… yet.”
Heat rushed to my cheeks, and I looked down instantly.
RAJVEER
She was blushing. Damn, she was beautiful when she blushed.
I pushed off from the bedpost and walked toward her slowly, each step deliberate. She didn’t move, but I could see her knuckles whitening around the lehenga fabric.
When I stopped in front of her, I lifted my hand and brushed my fingers under her chin, coaxing her to look at me. She resisted for a second, then met my gaze — hesitant, wide-eyed.
“You’re my wife now, Ishki,” I murmured, my thumb brushing against her jawline. “You don’t have to be afraid of me.”
Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
God help me, those lips…
I leaned in, letting my breath fan across her ear. “Unless… you like being afraid.”
ISHKI
A shiver ran down my spine. His nearness made it impossible to think clearly. The deep timbre of his voice, the warmth radiating from his body, the faint scent of his cologne — it was all too much.
I wanted to step back, but my feet refused to move. I wanted to look away, but my eyes kept finding his.
“I… I don’t know,” I whispered before I could stop myself.
His smirk deepened, and I realized I’d just given him a dangerous weapon — my uncertainty.
RAJVEER
She had no idea the effect her innocence had on me. I could take her right now, pin her against the wall and claim every inch of her. But no… I’d make her beg for me.
Slipping my hand into hers, I gently pulled her toward the bed. She followed, hesitant but compliant, her eyes darting to the rose petals scattered on the sheets.
I sat down and guided her to stand between my knees. Slowly, I began removing her bangles, letting each glass circle slide down her wrist with a soft clink. My fingers lingered on her skin, tracing the faint tremble in her pulse.
“Beautiful,” I murmured, not just to flatter her but because it was true. She was devastatingly, painfully beautiful.
Her breath hitched when I leaned forward, my lips brushing over her knuckles.
ISHKI
Every touch of his seemed calculated, deliberate. He wasn’t rushing… and somehow that made me more nervous.
My eyes kept darting to his, but each time I found them already watching me, the intensity there making my knees weak.
When he reached for the pins in my hair, my breath caught. One by one, he removed them, his fingers grazing the back of my neck, until my hair tumbled down around my shoulders.
His hand slid into the strands, his thumb caressing the sensitive spot just behind my ear. “Perfect,” he whispered, almost to himself.
RAJVEER
She was trembling now, not from fear alone — I could tell. There was curiosity there too.
I tilted her chin up again. “Tell me what you’re thinking, Ishki.”
She hesitated, biting her lip. I almost groaned at the sight. “I… I don’t know what to do.”
A dark chuckle escaped me. “You don’t have to do anything tonight. Just feel.”
And with that, I brushed my lips against hers. Light at first, testing. She stiffened for a heartbeat, then slowly softened.
When I deepened the kiss, I felt her hands clutch the fabric of my sherwani — not to push me away, but to hold on.
From here, Rajveer’s dominance would melt into tenderness, Ishki’s fear into surrender. He would tease, whisper, and coax her into letting go of her inhibitions — not rushing, but savouring every reaction, every shiver. The night would end not in force, but in a vow sealed with both passion and trust, leaving her breathless and him more obsessed than ever.
RAJVEER
Her lips were soft. Too soft. Like the first sip of forbidden wine after years of restraint. I deepened the kiss, but carefully — testing how much she would give me tonight.
I could feel the hesitance in her body, but also something else — the faintest spark of want. My mind, my blood, my entire being roared to claim her right here, to drag her beneath me until she forgot her own name. But… not yet.
I pulled back slightly, keeping my forehead against hers. Her eyes fluttered open, dazed, confused.
“See?” I murmured. “Not so terrifying, is it?”
Her lips parted, but she didn’t speak. Her chest rose and fell rapidly.
ISHKI
My heart was racing so fast I thought he’d hear it. That kiss… I’d never been kissed like that. I’d never been kissed at all.
My body didn’t know how to react. My mind was screaming to step away, but my hands — traitors — were still clutching his sherwani.
He was watching me like a predator who had just cornered his prey. Yet… there was no cruelty in his eyes. Only something darker. Possession.
“Rajveer…” I whispered his name for first time before I could stop myself. It felt strange on my tongue, almost dangerous.
RAJVEER
Hearing my name from her mouth was like gasoline to a flame. I tilted her chin higher, running my thumb across her lower lip.
“Say it again,” I ordered softly.
Her breath hitched. “Rajveer.”
God, I could listen to her all night.
My hand slid to her waist, feeling the rapid beat of her heart beneath layers of fabric. I tugged gently, bringing her closer between my knees. The scent of her — roses and something purely hers — was intoxicating.
ISHKI
When he pulled me closer, my knees brushed his. I could feel the warmth of his body through my lehenga, and it made my breath uneven.
He was looking at me like he could see right through me, like every thought, every insecurity was laid bare before him.
I bit my lip, and his eyes immediately dropped to the motion. His grip on my waist tightened almost imperceptibly.
RAJVEER
She had no idea the kind of control she was testing right now.
I reached up, slowly, deliberately, and unclasped the heavy necklace from around her neck. It fell into my hand, and I placed it on the table beside us without breaking eye contact.
Then came the earrings, each removed with care. My fingers brushed her skin deliberately, letting her feel the difference between danger and tenderness.
“You’re not wearing this for anyone else anymore.....,” I said, my voice low. “Only me.”
Her eyes widened, but she didn’t protest.
ISHKI
There was something about the way he said only me that made my stomach twist — not in fear, but in a strange, unfamiliar heat.
I stood still as he continued removing each ornament, each layer that had been part of the bridal ceremony. By the time his fingers reached the pin holding my dupatta, I thought I might faint.
The fabric slipped from my head and shoulders, pooling on the floor.
RAJVEER
Her hair framed her face like silk, and her shoulders — bare now — glowed in the dim light.
She was trembling, but not moving away. That was enough for me.
I brushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear and let my knuckles graze down her jaw to her neck. I felt her pulse jump under my touch.
“You’re safe with me, Ishki,” I whispered. “Even if I want to ruin you tonight, I’ll make sure you enjoy every second of it.”
Her breath caught. I let the words linger in the air.
ISHKI
I didn’t know what to say. His words were both terrifying and… thrilling. The way he said ruin didn’t sound cruel. It sounded like a promise.
When his hand cupped the side of my face, my eyes closed instinctively. I felt his lips press against my temple, slow and deliberate, before trailing down toward my cheek.
Every touch seemed to set my nerves on fire.
RAJVEER
I guided her gently, making her sit on the edge of the bed. I stayed standing, towering over her, my hands braced on either side of her thighs.
“Look at me,” I said. She did, her lashes fluttering.
My gaze dipped to her lips again, and before she could prepare herself, I kissed her harder this time — deep, consuming. Her hands came up, almost shyly, resting against my chest.
I caught one and guided it over my heartbeat. “Feel that? That’s what you do to me.”
Her fingers curled slightly over my shirt, and I knew — she was beginning to trust me.
ISHKI
I didn’t understand how someone like him — powerful, dangerous, feared — could be this gentle with me.
And yet, there was nothing soft about the way he kissed me. It was intense, almost claiming. Every brush of his lips made my thoughts scatter.
When he pulled back, I was breathless. “Rajveer…” I murmured, my voice barely audible.
RAJVEER
That was all the encouragement I needed. I lowered myself to my knees in front of her, my hands sliding along the fabric of her lehenga, feeling the shape of her legs beneath.
Her eyes widened. “What are you—”
“Shh🤫.” I pressed a finger to her lips. “Tonight is about you. And I’m going to take my time.”
And I did.
Every caress, every kiss, every whispered word — I made sure she felt wanted, adored, and completely mine. By the time I finally laid her down against the bed, her fear had melted into something else entirely.
The night stretched endlessly — filled with quiet gasps, soft laughter when he teased her, and murmured vows that were more binding than any wedding ritual.
When dawn’s first light filtered into the room, Ishki lay curled against him, his arm around her waist, his lips pressed to her hair.
“I told you,” he whispered against her skin, “you’ll never need to fear me… only how much I’ll love you.”
And she believed him.
