Scene 1 – Backstage Butterflies
The Seoul Olympic Stadium was a living, breathing sea of purple.
Lightsticks glowed like a galaxy spread across the night, and the sound of thousands of voices chanting taekook! Taekook!” was almost thunderous. The cool spring air carried the scent of rain, but the energy in the crowd burned like fire.
Backstage, Tae stood in front of the mirror in the dressing room, fixing the loose collar of his dark velvet stage jacket. His hair — soft waves dyed a deep chocolate — framed his sharp jawline, but his eyes… his eyes were soft, crinkling slightly when they met the reflection of the man behind him.
kookie leaned casually against the doorframe, dressed in a fitted black-and-silver stage outfit that clung perfectly to his athletic frame. The younger’s hair was slightly damp from pre-show rehearsals, a silver chain glinting at his neck.
kookie (teasing, low voice): "You keep fixing that collar like we’re going to a wedding… oh wait."
Tae glanced over his shoulder, a smirk tugging at his lips.
Tae: "Don’t say it too loud, Kookie… or the whole world will know."
kookie walked over, fingers brushing the front of Tae’s jacket — a touch that was subtle enough to pass as friendly, but lingering enough to mean something more.
kookie (softly): "Our first stage as… us."
Tae’s heart gave a small, traitorous flutter.
Scene 2 – The Stage Ignites
The opening VCR played on the giant screens — abstract visuals, snippets of lyrics, a montage of all seven members smiling. When it faded, the stadium went pitch black. A single note rang out, then another. Smoke curled along the stage floor.
When the spotlight snapped on, Tae was there — standing tall at the center, his deep voice cutting through the silence: "It’s been a long time…"
The roar that followed was deafening. kookie joined from the opposite end of the stage, his smooth tenor blending with Tae’s baritone. They moved toward each other slowly, eyes locked, the crowd losing their minds over the intensity in their gazes.
What ARMY didn’t know was that this wasn’t just stage chemistry — this was the same look they’d shared at the altar only weeks ago, in the quiet privacy of their own world.
Scene 3 – Subtle Promises in the Choreography
The song transitioned into a high-energy number. The choreography was sharp, precise — yet every time they passed each other, their hands almost touched. Not quite, but almost.
During one part, Tae spun kookie by the wrist, pulling him closer for the move. For a second longer than necessary, his thumb brushed over Jungkook’s pulse point — a silent “I’m here.”
The crowd screamed at the moment, thinking it was just fan service.
Neither of them corrected that assumption.
Scene 4 – Backstage Interlude
During the quick change for the next set, the rest of the members joked around in the dressing area, but Tae and kookie found themselves near the side curtain, hidden in shadow.
kookie (whispering): "You’re glowing tonight."
Tae (smiling softly): "It’s because my wife’s watching me."
kookie laughed under his breath, but his hand — hidden from the crowd — brushed Tae’s for a fleeting second before they walked back onstage.
Scene 5 – The Ballad
Midway through the concert came the ballad section — the lights dimmed to a soft violet, and the first notes of their duet began.
Tae’s voice was velvet and warmth, kookie’s a ribbon of silver threading through it. They stood on opposite ends of the extended stage, walking toward each other as the lyrics spoke of “finding someone in a crowd of millions” and “holding on even when the world is loud.”
When they met in the center, their eyes held for the longest beat. kookie’s mic trembled slightly in his hand, Tae’s lips curved in the smallest, secret smile — one that wasn’t for cameras or fans. It was for him. Only him.
By the final chorus, kookie reached out. Their fingertips touched — just barely — but under the cover of the smoke machine, Tae’s pinky hooked around kookie’s for the briefest of seconds.
If the world noticed, it would be brushed off as performance art.
But for them, it was a vow renewed under stage lights.
Scene 6 – The Encore Chaos
The encore was pure joy. Confetti rained down, ARMY sang louder than the backing track, and the members ran around the stage laughing, waving, throwing plushies into the crowd.
Tae chased kookie with a water bottle, finally managing to spray him. kookie turned, grabbed his hyung around the waist, and swung him in a full circle before they both doubled over laughing.
The cameras caught it, the big screens magnifying their smiles. Fans screamed, thinking it was the cutest Taekook moment in years. Neither of them denied it — why would they?
Then at last tae held his kookie's hand and did the couple dance with him.... Both smiled and blushed together creating fan favorite taekook moment..... Then kookie also sat on his hubby tae's lap making fans scream with joy.....
Armies-: ooooo.... My godd..... Kookie sitting on tae's lap..... So cute.....😍
Scene 7 – The Final Speech
At the very end, each member gave a speech. When it was Tae’s turn, he looked out at the ocean of purple.
Tae: "ARMY… every time we stand here, it feels new. But tonight feels… even more special. There are moments in life when you realise you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. This is one of them."
kookie, standing next to him, glanced sideways — eyes shining in a way the cameras couldn’t fully capture.
When it was kookie’s turn, he took a breath, his voice lower than usual.
kookie: "Sometimes… there’s something in your heart you can’t put into words. But you can sing it. So… I’ll keep singing."
He didn’t look at the crowd when he said it. He looked at Tae.
Scene 8 – Post-Show Quiet
The stadium was empty now, the seats littered with purple banners and confetti. The crew packed up equipment, their chatter fading into the background.
In the quiet of the dressing room, Tae sat on the couch, still in his stage clothes, hair damp with sweat. kookie entered, closing the door behind him.
No cameras. No crowd. No stage lights.
kookie crossed the room, sat beside him, and took his hand without hesitation.
kookie: "We did it. Our first stage… as us."
Tae leaned in until their foreheads touched.
Tae: "And no one even knew."
Kookie (smirking): "Or maybe they did. ARMY’s smart."
They laughed softly. kookie’s thumb brushed Tae’s ring finger, where the simple silver band hid under his glove during the performance.
kookie (quietly): "Next concert… same stage, same us."
Tae: "Always."
The faint sound of a crew member calling for them came from the hall, but for that moment, in that tiny space, the world outside didn’t exist.
